Nermine

Nermine is an OHT who graduated from the University of Melbourne as an OHT with both dental therapy and dental hygiene. She has been working as an OHT for the last 21 years predominately in children’s dentistry. She also completed her graduate certificate in adult scope which has allowed her to treat patients of all ages.

She has a passion for working with children and especially those with special needs and those on the spectrum. She loves to take the time with anyone who has dental anxiety and will spend time making sure that they become comfortable in the dental chair. Nermine looks to create change in patient behaviour and loves to make everyone feel comfortable in the dental environment. She believes that empowering people with knowledge is the key to achieving the best results for their oral health.

Currently she sits on the Oral Health Clinical Council at the RDHM – a council that helps govern and create policies to benefit the community’s ability to access dental treatment. She also mentors students with their studies and helps them prepare their case studies for their final year- sharing her knowledge and clinical skills.

In her spare time, she loves to work out and spend time with her family down at the beach. She loves to travel and experience new places and cultures.
